PATRICIA CARMEL MARIE MARTEL (nee CATELLIER) 1934-2008 It is with great sadness that the family mourns the passing of our mother and grandmother Patricia Martel at the age of 74, on Tuesday, July 22 after a long and courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. Patricia was born on July 7, 1934, daughter of Emil Catellier and Mary Coulombe. Patricia was born in St. Boniface and grew up on the farm in the Dufrost, Manitoba area. She grew up with a special love for animals, especially horses and dogs. After several moves she finally settled in Dryden, where Patricia and her husband owned a family business. Patricia was predeceased by her husband Maurice and son Norman. She will be sadly missed by her children, Lynne (Pat) Madussi of Ear Falls, Gerry (Janet), of Dryden and Lawrence (Tammy) of Cochrane Alberta, and her loving grandchildren. Richard, Darryl, Angela, Megan, Ryan and Chelsea. She is also survived by two sisters, Annette Goulet and Leona (Jim) Chalmers from Manitoba, several sister and brother-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephew. Funeral Services will take place at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Luigi Filippini officiating. Interment of Patricia's ashes will follow immediately after the Church Service. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the DRHC, Oncology Department through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON P8N 2X3 The family of Patricia wish to thank everyone who took part in caring for her over the last years.
