Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE YVONNE HUTCHINSON (nee HORLEY) Marguerite Yvonne Hutchinson (nee Horley) quietly passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Victoria General Hospital. She was predeceased by her first husband of 20 years Vern Shail of Vancouver, BC and husband of 36 years Jack Hutchinson. Marguerite is survived by her children; Kathy (Bob) Logan, Patti (Greg) Ballantyne, Steve (Susan) Shail, James (Janet) Hutchinson and Susan (Bob) Johnson. Her nine grandchildren who brought her such joy, Kristine, Kim (Roger), Nikki (Wade), Lori (Adam), Jennifer (Glenn), Jillian, Tim, Amanda, and Jamie and the five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Breanna, Alexander, Aidan and Reece. Marguerite was born December 11, 1925 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. After graduation, she worked in law offices in Moose Jaw and Vancouver, BC. Her life was her family; she treated all of her blended family as her own. Jack and Marguerite lived in Fort Garry and were active members at the Wildewood Golf Club where they enjoyed golfing, curling, and swimming. She enjoyed many friendships. Marguerite volunteered at the Victoria Hospital in many capacities. In later years Marguerite found Tai Chi a favorite pastime and became an instructor at the center and at the apartment block. She had a profound Christian faith and was an active member at Trinity United Church. Service in her memory will be held on Tuesday, August 5 at Trinity United Church at 933 Summerside Avenue, 1:00 p.m. and reception to follow. The family gratefully acknowledges the kind care always given by Dr. Brian Sharkey, Thorvaldson Care Center and a special thanks to Millie Malavsky.
