DANIEL GRAHAM With his family by his side Daniel Graham passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 88 years. Daniel is predeceased by his loving wife Caroline, parents, Flora and Daniel. Left to mourn his memory are his sons, Daniel (Cheryl), Gordon Martin, Liz Martin, grandchildren, Theresa Redecopp (James), Dr. Bradley Martin and great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Jack Redecopp. Daniel was born April 2, 1920 in Aberdeen, Scotland. He was with the British Army 65th Medium Regiment Royal Artillary from 1939-1946, serving with the British Expeditionary Force in 1940 and then returning to Europe on D-Day. He immigrated to Canada and met his future wife Caroline on the Aquitania while crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 1949 and married in 1951. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway from 1950-1982. His passions were woodworking and gardening. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff on the 8th floor Palliative wing of the St. Boniface Hospital for making his last hours comfortable and also to the caring staff of Sturgeon Creek II Retirement Residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O. Box 2248, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4A6 or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 4G2.
