MARIAN STOJAK On Friday, July 25, 2008 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Marian Stojak, our mother, passed away at the age of 88 years in the presence of her three loving sons. She is survived by her sons, Rick (Lynne of Perth), Gary (Judy of Kingston) and Ken (Chris of Winnipeg). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Catherine, John, Lee Anne and Tony; Brittany and Madison and greatgrandchildren, Chloe, Travis and Taylor; Emily and Matthew. She also leaves to mourn her passing many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony and four sisters. Marian was born, lived and worked in Winnipeg all of her life. She had resided at Arlington Haus for the past several years. To capture Mom's 88 years of life in a few words is not really possible, but we can suggest her values by relying on one of her favorite words Love . Mom loved Nature. She was constantly in awe of the beauty she found in her surroundings. Flowers, scenery, animals and especially birds brought her much joy and were such an important part of her life and now ours. She left us with a face for Mother Nature. Mom loved knowledge. She read constantly, was aware of current events and life and was always ready to share her opinions to help us grow. A powerful legacy - we will be sure to continue. Mom loved friends. We know of so many deep and lasting friendships that were formed because of her respect, consideration and generosity towards others. Her support system is now ours. And most importantly Mom loved family. Her open pride and shared love for all of us was the stuff of songs' and the foundation that held our families together although miles apart. Mom, we love you and miss you already. Our deepest thanks are extended to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, 6th floor, East Wing, our Heroes and Angels , for their constant care and kindness. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30 at 11:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A luncheon reception will follow. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery will be private. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice (please think of an animal shelter). CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
