TERRY LEE TOMASI Suddenly on July 23, 2008, Ter passed away at the age of 50 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 30 years Marie; three dogs, Dana Leigh, Daeglen Chartrés and Dougan Clancey (Wee Beastie), his mother-in-law Helen, father-in-law Frank and adopted daughters Annell Macrae and Janelle K. Terry also leaves his brothers Rick, Danny, Stephen (Peeshta), and sister Ann-Marie. He will be fondly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Terry was predeceased by his mom Kay, father Lou, grandma Tomasi, sister Christine and brother-in-law Frank Jr. Terry began his career in Toronto working for C.F.T.R. Radio., where he met and later married Marie. Together they moved to Winnipeg where Terry began his career with Global, first with the T.V. station, followed by the Digital Specialty Channels where he enjoyed over 27 years. Terry was also freelancing for Mid Canada Productions. Terry received many awards to include Employee of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Appreciation Awards and his 25th year Anniversary Award. Terry was currently working on his degree in Business, and was just a few credits short. Terry loved the Boston Bruins. He was one of their greatest fans, much to Marie's chagrin being an avid Habs fan herself. Terry loved to help his neighbours and family with anything that needed building or fixing, anything that he could help with. He always went out of his way, a real Renaissance Man. He was a true professional and a perfectionist and well respected by his peers. Papa Ter will be missed greatly by his three puppers. He was a meticulous man, always attentive to their needs. Ter will also be fondly remembered by many of Marie's Marymound students. Uncle Ter always treated them as he would his own children for 22 years. No one could count how many glasses, stereo's, shoes or CD's he made or fixed. Uncle Ter opened his home and heart to the many children of Marymound. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Marie would like to thank her parents, Bernadette Smith, Terry's family and their friends and colleagues for the outpouring of support, with a special thank you to the Sisters of the Good Shepherd for their love and prayers. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to D'Arcy's ARC (Animal Rescue Centre), 1793 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3J 0E8 or to the Marymound Endowment Fund, c/o Sisters Of The Good Shepherd, 442 Scotia Street, Winnipeg, MB, R2V 1X4. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Sorry for the loss Marie. Terry and us first met approx. 25 years ago when he came to my son Donald and myself (Garry) in need of car repairs. Terry was a real easy going guy, always cheery, and I have to say our Finest Customer. I always asked him about you (Marie) and his response to us in a joking manner said, "She's my mini golfer forever." He also loved it when Donald and I gave his White Mustang a tuneup and made it go faster. Now that I've found out thanks to the Internet, where my friend is, I do have a little tear. I'm thinking about you lots Marie. I hope you can find strength after all this, and myself I do know that Terry is in The Lord's Hands. I'm praying for you Marie. I'm on Facebook under Garry Bee. May GOD BLESS You Marie - Posted by: Garry and Donald Boschman (Friends) on: Apr 30, 2019
