ANDREW DERRICK JESSE JAMES (WOODTICK) July 22, 1993 - July 25, 2008 Tragically, on Friday, July 25, 2008, our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend left us to be with the Lord. Andrew will be forever lovingly remembered by his parents Rick and Roberta; his big sister Sabrina and her boyfriend Dave; his other big sister Tiffany; and his little brother Matthew. Also mourning his loss are his Papa and Nana, Bob and June Ellison; Grandma Sarah and Stan Monkman; Grandpa TJ (Tom James) and Jean Spence; his aunts and uncles, Ken and Janet Ellison, Vicki and Bob Anderson, Brian (Blackie) and Kim Ellison, Angela James and Scott McQueen, Martin and Cynthia James, Darren James and Peggy Vincent, Shannon and Kevin Laframboise; as well as numerous cousins. Andrew touched so many people in his short life. He had his extended families as well, that adopted Andrew as their own. His old dad, friend and mentor, Gerald Shepell, and the entire Shepell family; his other mom, Jenn, and little sister, Jessy Harrison; his best friend, buddy and brother, Darrell Pork Chop Mollard; and the crew, Trevor, Joey, Jordan, Jack Beanstalk Kernott and Jeff; plus his mountains and mountains of buddies. Andrew was an amazing boy who accomplished so much in his 15 years. He loved to fix everything he could get his hands on, from radios to tractors. He was a hard worker who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. In fact, he rather enjoyed it. He would watch his Papa working on the lawn tractor, preparing it for the summer, and the next time it needed work, he did it. He had a keen eye for anything mechanical. Andrew was a compassionate person. He loved to run and play with his younger brother, cousins and friends. He loved children and very often spent as much time as he could in the kindergarten class at the school, playing or reading to the kids. Andrew taught himself how to snowboard and it became one of his many passions. He loved The Hill and spent as much time there as he possibly could. He loved the people, the atmosphere and the thrill of flying down the hill on his board. Andrew's smile could melt your heart and his laughter was contagious. He was loved by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him and will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Wood Tick. We love you. A celebration of Andrew's life will take place on Thursday, July 31 at the Stony Mountain Rec Centre at 2:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Mollard, Gerald Shepell, Jenn Harrison, Jessy Harrison, Corey Ellison, Trevor McKnight, Joey Shewchuk, Jordan Shepell and Jack Kernott. In lieu of flowers, because of his love for children, donations to Stony Mountain Daycare would be greatly appreciated. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
