ELSIE DOREEN BEGER (nee LUCKO) August 18, 1939 - July 28, 2008 Peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2008, Elsie passed away at the age of 68 years with her family by her side at the Beausejour District Hospital in Beausejour, MB. Remembering her with love are her beloved husband Herb (Herbert) Beger; brother George (Vera); brother-in-law Archie; children, Brian, Glen (Debbie), Cheryl and Lori (Michael); grandchildren, Melissa, Darryl, Kurtis, Emily and Joshua; nephews, Gary and Michael and niece Tanya. She was predeceased by her father Michael; mother Anne; sister Eileen; and daughter-in-law Maureen. Born in Hazelglen, Manitoba, Elsie moved from the family farm to Beausejour in 1952 where she lived for the remainder of her life. Herb and Elsie were married in Beausejour at the Grace Lutheran Church on October 28, 1956, to which Elsie was still a member. She was very proud of her children, Brian, Glen, Cheryl and Lori and all of their accomplishments and her true passions in life were her grandchildren, gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers at home. Before Elsie became ill, she loved to visit all of her friends at Mel's Diner for coffee, often several times a day- Thank you to all of you for your treasured friendship. Elsie's funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brokenhead Recreational Complex, 320 Veterans Lane, Beausejour, MB, with Pastor Dale Mohr, presider. Interment will follow in the Beausejour Town Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Jansen van Rensburg, the NEHA Home Care staff and the wonderful nursing staff at the Beausejour District Hospital for their care and support during the entire length of Elsie's illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elsie's memory to the Grace Lutheran Church in Beausejour or to the Beausejour District Hospital.
