ALAN HERBERT RESTALL September 25, 1924 - July 26, 2008 Alan was born and raised in Winnipeg. He moved to Vancouver in the early 1950s where he had a long and successful career in the newspaper industry with the Vancouver Province and Pacific Press. Alan leaves to mourn his passing his longtime friend and partner Velma Banks who was by his side through his difficult battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Alan was predeceased by his brother Gordon and sister Margaret Kirkland (Jack). He is survived by his brother Harry Restall (Helen) of Winnipeg and by nieces, Ann, Alison and Lindsay of Winnipeg and Margaret of Regina. Cremation has taken place and at Alan's request, there will be no service. Donations in Alan's memory to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by his family.
