JOHN (JACK) MILLER HIRST October 22, 1920 - July 31, 2008 On Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the Carman Memorial Hospital, John Miller, aged 87 years, beloved husband of Lillian Hirst, of Carman, formerly of Graysville, Manitoba. Jack is survived by his wife, Lillian, and six children, Judy and Roger, of Calgary, Alberta, John and Bev, of Winnipeg, Manitoba (Jeremy and Dawn, Christian, Cale), David and Linda, of Milton, Ontario, Dennis and Michele, of Auroura, Ontario, Pat, of Winnipeg, Manitoba (Matthew and Jessica), and Barbara, of Calgary and great-grandson John. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his sister Nina McIntosh. Jack farmed in Graysville all of his life and enjoyed farming, friends and fishing. He is a much loved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Interment will take place in Graysville Cemetery. Special thanks to the homecare workers in Boyne Towers and the staff at Carman Hospital for the special care he always received.
