ARTHUR EWALD LITKE On July 29, 2008, Arthur passed away at the age of 74 years. Art was born on May 3, 1934 in Brokenhead, MB. He grew up in Beausejour, MB, where he met and married his Honey , Vera (Kuznitsoff) on February 24, 1954. In Winnipeg, MB, with dedication and persistence, Art worked earnestly to provide for his loving wife and three daughters. Remembering him with deep affection are his children, Deborah Sheedy (Brian), Gail Bartel (Dieter) and Cynthia Reimer (Barry); grandchildren, Adam (Tracy), Angela, Meghan, Chad, Kyle, Nicole and Tamara; great-grandchildren, Austin and Tyler and two sisters, Vionna (Hastman) and Janice (Fiebelkorn) Dad was predeceased by Mom on June 23, 2008; and by his parents, Hermann and Anna Emma Litke; and brother Eldon. The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Lodge for their kindness and caring. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., on Wednesday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. Forever together, Art and Vera's interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
