Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE DUCZMINSKI 1913 - 2008 Peacefully, on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, Anne passed away at the age of 95. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ron (Nordette), Jody and Jessica, son Barry (Joan), Mandy and Megan, grandson Darryl (Tracy), grandchildren Jason and Andrea and great-grandchildren Ryan, Trevor and Riley. Also left to mourn are her siblings Pauline Pratt, Mary Prodan, John and Peter Macyshyn. She will also be missed by Chris Plamondon and Linda Macey. She was predeceased by her husband Stan in 1976, brother Mike Macyshyn, sisters Olga Ewanchuk, Kaye Pushka, and Nellie Hrabec. Anne was born in Ruthenia, Manitoba, in 1913. She left the family farm at a young age and moved Winnipeg. She married Stan and they resided in Transcona. Anne worked as a cook at the Regent Restaurant, Oxford Grill, and for many years at the Cavalier Hotel. She was well known for her cinnamon buns, potato pancakes and cabbage rolls. She decorated wedding cakes for many Transcona couples. Anne loved to garden and to cook for family but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren who gave her the greatest joy. The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. A service will be held at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street in Transcona, at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5.
