JOSEPHINE JOVITTE GUIMOND (nee FONTAINE) February 16, 1929 August 1, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine Guimond on August 1, 2008 at the age of 79 at Beacon Hill Lodge surrounded by her loved ones. Josephine is survived by her children, Diane (Jerry), John (Cindy), Pauline, Shirley, Ron (Joan), Stanley (Alice), Albert, Jane, Kathy (Steve), Barry (Mary-Lou), and Julie as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Solomon and her children, Norman, Alphonse, Martin, Margaret, Leona, and Bernie. Josephine enjoyed cooking wonderful dinners for her family during the holidays. She also loved sewing and going to bingo with her family and friends. Josephine had a special love for apricot brandy and teddy bears. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for all the care they gave to Josephine. Wake services will be held at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church in Fort Alexander, MB beginning Saturday evening, August 2, 2008. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers are Matthew Guimond, Adam Abraham, George Guimond, Michael Guimond, Norman Guimond, and John Guimond Jr. Honorary Pallbearers Rohn Abraham, Damian Abraham, and Martin Guimond. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the gentle autumn's rain. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
