ROBERT WALTER OLDHAM April 19, 1920 - August 1, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) of Stony Plain, Alberta at the age of 88 years. Bob will be remembered by his loving wife, Stella (nee Hupe) of 58 years and his children, Stanley (Eva), Beverley (Kerry), Lorna (Marc) Ranson; grandchildren, Seth (Alexa), Kenna, Daniel, Keaton, Brooklyn, Liam, Cassidy, Mikayla and Kuper; and two great-grandchildren, Solomon and Sophie, as well as numerous other family and treasured friends. Bob was predeceased by his mother, Jessie (nee Ransom), father, W. Fred and brother, Frank. Bob had many passions in addition to his family and friends. He was very concerned about a wide variety of humanitarian causes including the state of Health Care in the Province, world hunger and poverty with a special emphasis on the continent of Africa where he spent much of the 70s and 80s working. Upon his return to Alberta he gave of himself again to ensure the quality of life he lived was available to all. This is the man we will miss. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of the Misericordia Community Hospital and the Westview Health Centre in Stony Plain.
