LORA MARLENE MILLAR November 4, 1943 August 2, 2008 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of our dearly loved wife, mum, sister, and grandma on August 2nd at the age of 64. She was predeceased by her parents Anna and Nelson Mason, and beloved son Russ. Marlene was born and raised in Oak Point, Manitoba and married her soul mate and the love of her life Bob on September 23, 1961. She will be deeply missed by her husband, along with her children and grandchildren, Mitch (Julie), Marri, Jenna Lannea; Bobe (Joanne), Richard, Dennis, Derek, Chad; Theresa (Stuart), Jackie, Shawn, Curtis, Jason, Austin, Tyson; and Tim (Sandra), and baby-mine'. Also mourning her loss are her siblings, Gwen Johnson, Vera LaBel, Ken (Sylvia) Mason, and Helen Beauchamp; brothers and sisters in-law; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and neighbours. Mum cherished any time spent with her family and friends whether it was in a large gathering, at home, or at the restaurant over a cup of coffee. She shared her passion for horses with Dad and they often traveled to the World Horse Show in Oklahoma. She loved to be outdoors, caring for her animals, but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren who gave her the greatest joy. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Point Hall in Oak Point, Manitoba. Her grandchildren will serve as honorary pall bearers.
