AUDREY LILLIAN RUSSELL 1917 - 2008 With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dear Aunty Audrey at Victoria General Hospital on Monday, August 4, 2008. Audrey leaves to cherish her memory her niece Shannon Gerylo (Carl), her nephew Robert Manson (Lesley), her great nephews Robert Lentowich (Nietta), Sean Manson, Greg Husson (Amanda); Kerry Gerylo; her great- nieces Krista Weiser (Steven), Hailey Manson, great-great-nieces Marah, Tianna, Macie, great-great-nephews Aeryk, Jake, Carter, Griffin and several relatives in British Columbia. Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband Alexander (Sandy) Russell, parents Herb and Ethel Turner, sister and brother-in-law Verna and Bob Eley and sister Georgina Turner. Audrey was born February 13, 1917 in Winnipeg and worked at McKnights Pharmacy for over 20 years. Audrey loved to square dance (which she did well into her late 80s) and volunteered for several organizations throughout her adult life. She was a lifelong member of Harrow United Church. Our Aunt taught us to always be charitable, love, laugh and she kept us entertained with her one-liners which she was famous for. Please Lord teach us to laugh again but God don't ever let us forget that we cried. I will miss you dearly Aunty Audrey (my second Mom). In lieu of flowers donations made in the name of our dear Aunt to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1 or The Kidney Foundation, 200-55 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8 would be greatly appreciated. Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
