ANN PENWAY (nee HALLSON) November 11, 1928 - August 1, 2008 Ann passed away peacefully August 1, 2008 at age 79. Predeceased by her husband Tom Larrie (2003). She is survived by her three sons Tom, Rodney and Gary (Renee) and grandchildren. Sarah, Erin, Lauren, Shannon, Rowan and Carmen. Also survived by brothers Arnold and Herbert. Predeceased by her parents Gudrun and Gisli; brothers Petur and Eirikur and sisters-in-laws Audrey and Marlene. Ann was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up on the family farm in Vogar, near Ashern. She moved to BC in 1949 and married Tom in 1951. Ann was a loving and generous person who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. She was an active volunteer with the Icelandic community including the Solskin Society and was a life member of the Icelandic Club of B.C. Memorial Service Saturday, August 9, 2008, 11:00 a.m. Oakridge Lutheran Church, 585 West 41st Ave., Vancouver B.C. Vinaterta will be served.
