RANDY HOPLOCK Peacefully on August 4, 2008 Randy Hoplock beloved husband and soul mate of Penny, passed away at the age of 49 years, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Leaving to cherish his memory are his loving wife, two daughters Jordyn Kipling (Ryan) and Jessica Hoplock. He is also survived by his only brother Dewey (Fran) and in-laws Carole and Joe DiMatteo, and Patty and Gordon McGimpsey; nieces and nephews Amanda, Adam, Shannon, Shawna, Sharie, and Julien; as well as numerous relatives and friends; and his beloved pets. Randy was predeceased by his parents Mike and Marge Hoplock, and parents-in-law, Joe and Elizabeth Maksymyk. Randy was born in Winnipeg, on October 3, 1958. He began his life's career at C.N.R. in 1976. At the same time he met his wife Penny. They were married for nearly 28 years, and spent many cherished years at the cabin, he built with his family, enjoying life. He was the greatest dad his children could have ever wished for, and he was always there for them. Randy was very talented in sports as well as in building and masonry work, and has completed many accomplishments in his short years. He will be missed by all who knew him, as he was the kindness and most loyal husband, father, and friend. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1131 Dakota St. Pastor Kris Taylor officiating. (Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service). Interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Gary Schroeder, nurses Kaeleigh and Kim at Health Sciences Centre CancerCare, as well as the Beausejour District Hospital, Dr. Vanrensburg and nurses for their compassionate care.
