URSULA ANN HOURIE Suddenly on August 1, 2008 at the age of 37 years, The Creator welcomed Ursula Ann Hourie into his arms. Born on November 8, 1970, Urs leaves to morn her passing her three children Brendan Michael Joseph Cook (13 years), Christian Lee Vermette (10 years), and Angelica Sarah Vermette (4 years). Ursula is predeceased by her father Whilhelm Petti, grandmother Sarah Hourie (Caldwell) and grandfather Steve Borsa. She is survived by her mother Grace Ann Hourie, sister Sylvia Grace Hourie (Cory Damskov), niece Desiree Jade Hourie, long time friend and godmother Jann Ross, aunt Yvonne Hourie and cousin David Hourie. Brendan's father Wesley Cook (April Dorion), Christian and Angelica's father Leon Vermette, longtime childhood friend Lija Tonnellier and the entire Tonnellier family. Ursula was born and raised in Winnipeg. Prior to being a stay at home mom Urs held various jobs, she was a waitress at the Brooklands Inn for several years, she also waitressed at Johnathan's Restaurant. She was a bank teller at the Credit Union and worked as a clerk at Quinton's Cleaners. Ursula will always be remembered for her contagious smile and sense of humor. She was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt and a best friend. A wake will be held at Thunderbird House located on Main and Higgins on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Voyage Funeral Home located at 220 Hespeler Avenue. Arrangements are entrusted to Voyage Funeral Home and Crematorium, 220 Hespeler, 204-668-3151. Pall Bearers are David Hourie, Cory Damskov, Derek Makara, Leon Vermette, Wesley Cook and James Favell.
