MERVYN SELWYN GRIFFITH September 6, 1937 - August 4, 2008 Peacefully, but unexpectedly, Mervyn passed away in his sleep at home. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 43 years, Lorna; his children, Stephanie (Theodore) Griffith-Macfarlane, Tracey and Lesley-Ann Griffith; grandchildren, Sydney and Simone Macfarlane and Lauren Griffith. Also mourning his passing are sisters, Margot Rucker (N.Y), Yvette Ramey (Montreal), Patsy Griffith-Clarke (Noel) (N.Y), Norma St. Louis, Maureen and Lynette Griffith of (Trinidad), nieces and nephews and numerous friends in Winnipeg, Canada, USA and Trinidad. Mervyn was born in Belmont, Trinidad and worked for the National Railways before migrating to Canada in 1967. He worked for CN Transcona shops for 32 years until retirement in 2000. In keeping with his request, a memorial service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with Deacon Rudolph Le Maitre officiating.
