LILLIAN IRENE FORDE (nee BURLEY) January 11, 1919 - August 7, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother. Lillian passed away peacefully August 7, 2008 at age 89. She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Robert) and grandchildren, James, Gary (Debbie), David, Michael (Donna), Debbie (Wayne), Cheryl (Mike) and Douglas (Faydra). She is also survived by son James (Sylvia) and grandchildren, Darwin, Bradley, Denise and Kelly. Lillian was also very fond of her foster son Frank Madsen (Brenda). Lillian also had many precious great-grandchildren, Charlene, Nicole, Courtney, Cody, Evan, Aaron, Shannon, Wanda, Erin, Julia, Heaven, William, Kristin, Carlee, Jonathan, Stacey, Jaden and Liam. Lillian was also just recently blessed with Great-Great-Granddaughter Ariel. Lillian also shared a long-time Friendship with her best Friend Ann Jaska. Lillian was predeceased by her parents Robert and Ethyl May and sister Margaret. Lillian was born in Port Hope, Ontario and spent time in various communities across Canada and eventually settled in Vancouver where she lived an extensive portion of her life. She returned to Winnipeg in 1988 and remained until her death. Lillian spent the last years of her life in the loving care of her daughter Margaret. She loved Bingo and was very fond of animals. Lillian was a loving and generous person who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. As per Lillian's final wish, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Lillian would like to be remembered as last you saw her. If you wish to make donations, you can make them to the Diabetes Foundation.
