ALICE CAROLINE PAGEE It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, wife on August 6, 2008 at the age of 69. Alice will be missed by her loving husband, Elmer; sons, David (Bev), Jerry (Victoria), Randy (Jackie), Michael; daughter Roseanne and grandchildren, Chantel, Chelsea, Chad, Lynn, Joselynn and great-grandchild Carter. Alice was born in St. Martin, MB the daughter of Alex and Helen Turman along with three brothers. She grew up with the memories of the old way and we often heard the stories. She met a young lumberjack and began their life in Winnipeg on Flora Street where she had David, Jerry and Randy, six short years later moved to Elkhorn Street where they had Roseanne and Michael. She lived there until her demise, some 44 years later. Mom was old school and talked about how it was, the good times and hard times on the farm; still it never changed how Mom was. She would always say hello to anyone, never judged or cursed another, she was very giving and gave 110% when you asked of her. Mom had a heart of gold and it showed every day. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild and put them first. She would always give whatever she had and went without. She was a mother in every sense of the word. She even took in others under her wing when they needed help. Sherry (Mayer) Allard stayed with us at a young age when her mother was taken from her and Alice was her second Mom. Mom was like the Brooklands Beat Cop. You could see her walking to the store or to a friend's place or just for peace and quiet from every day life. She was always interested in your story and listened with interest. She will be missed. Thank you Mom for everything you gave. Funeral to be held Tuesday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, 748 Keewatin St.
