GLORIA JANICE KLASSEN (nee PLUCHINSKE) July 24, 1954 August 8, 2008 Peacefully, with her family by her side, Gloria passed away in her home on Friday, August 8, 2008. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to us all. Remaining to forever cherish Gloria's memory are her beloved husband, Gerhard; children Andrew and Sara; mother, Mary; sisters, Lenore (Dale), Rhonda (Ron); brothers, Reg, Todd (Nina); many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her father, Ervin. Gloria was born in Morris, Manitoba and grew up in the Charleswood area in Winnipeg before moving to St. James with her family. Following a career at Bristol Aerospace, she went on to work at I C Group. Her interests always centered around family and close friends. She loved spending time at the lake, fishing, traveling, shopping and gift-giving at Christmas. Gloria's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. Special thanks to all the staff at the Grace Hospital who cared for Gloria, as well as the Homecare staff for their remarkable effort in getting her home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
