JAMES EDWARD ORR CRAIGIE It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jim on Thursday August 7, 2008. Cherishing his memory is his wife Eileen; daughters, Diane, Nancy (Doug); son Jim (Cheryl); son-in-law Tom; grandchildren, Shelley (Chris), Jason, Jeffrey (Marie), Tannis (Marc), Colin (Erica), Crystal, Derek, Amanda and Jimmy as well as eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Florence (Ray), Irene (John) and brother Doug (Donna). Dad was predeceased by his oldest daughter Faye and sisters, Edna and Margaret. Jim was born and raised in St. Vital. Upon returning from the war, where Dad served overseas for three years with the 5th Anti Tank Regiment, he proceeded to build their family home which he resided in until his passing. Dad worked at various jobs to provide for his family in the early years. He later joined Grinnell Fire Protection as a sprinklerfitter where he advanced, retiring as a Superintendent in 1985. He was very proud of having achieved 50 years of membership with the UA Association. Dad spent his retirement sharing his handyman skills. He was always there lending a helping hand whenever needed. Dad took great joy and pride in watching his family grow and prosper in their various endeavours. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 847 St. Mary's Rd, Winnipeg with Father Renato Pasinato celebrant. Internment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers friends so wishing may make a donation in Dad's memory to Cancercare Manitoba. May God care for you as you cared for us, Love you forever and miss you always GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
