JOZEF STASZAK August 31, 1924 August 9, 2008 In loving memory of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. Remaining to cherish Jozef's memory is his wife Marianna, sons Zygmunt and Zbigniev, daughters-in-law Debbie and Brenda, brother-in-law Waldek and wife Danushia of Poland, as well as his grandchildren Ashley, Ocean, Sky and Brea. Jozef was born in Tokarki, Poland and was the youngest of 13 children. During the Second World War, he worked in child labour camps in Germany. Escaping, he returned to Poland and joined the Underground Partisans for the remainder of the war. Jozef served in the military in Poland in the Army Core Engineers, until the family immigrated to Canada on November 11, 1965, making their home in Winnipeg. Arriving in Canada, he worked at Federal Pioneer Electric. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America, until he was injured, forcing him to retire. Jozef enjoyed gardening, woodworking, bingo nights and just being with his family. His favourite saying was If you walk the path with God, you will never parish . May you now rest in peace, until we meet again. - Your loving family. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Viewing one half hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
