JAMES (PAPA) RICHARDSON June 14, 1927 - August 10, 2008 World's Greatest Papa It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our papa James Richardson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Shirlene Duff, sister Jean Mallie in New Lisker, ON, his stepchildren Gord (Tilde) Duff, Bruce Duff, Dick (Tina) Duff, Bonnie (Tim) Mikjolaek. The light of his life was his four grand-daughters Samantha (Peter) Houzon, Amanda (Kim) Duff, Christina (Darnell) Duff, Tymara-Lee Mikjolaek, two great-grandchildren Michael and Shyla. Also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Papa was a trucker from the time he could drive starting at 15 years old. He moved to Winnipeg in the early 1970s and opened his company JR Trucking in 1983. He retired in 1998. He gained many friends and gathered millions of stories through his travels and he would share them with anyone who would listen, especially the ladies. Papa had a pet name for all the women he met making them feel like they were one in a million. He was always trying to charm the nurses at dialysis and Deer Lodge. Our family would like to express our profound gratitude to all the 5th floor staff at Deer Lodge Centre, The 6th Floor Dialysis Unit at Health Sciences Centre, Dr. Bernstein and Dr. Wiebe and all their staff for taking such great care of papa all these years. A service of remembrance will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Papa our dance will last forever 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca Ample parking behind funeral home
