WILHELMINE (MINNIE) SUSANNA GAENSWEIN On August 7, 2008 at Oakview Place Extendicare. Minnie Gaenswein, aged 91 years, widow of Alfons who predeceased her in 2006. Minnie was born in Dominion City, Manitoba and came to Winnipeg where she worked for the T. Eaton Co. as head of their alterations department. She loved singing and sang in many choirs during her lifetime. Minnie is survived by her four nieces and three nephews, Anita (Sonny) Stelzer, Bette Rempel, Larry (Sandy) Recksiedler, Delaine (Andy) Colley, Allen Jahnke, Dianne (Wayne) Klassen, Lorin Jahnke, many grandnieces and nephews other relatives and many friends. Viewing will take place at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Winnipeg on Wednesday, August 13 at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Kuhn officiating. Interment will take place beside her husband at Brookside Cemetery. Lutheran Church of the Cross was a special place to Minnie and should friends desire donations may be sent in her memory to the church at the above address.
