GERHARD (GERRY) WIEMER April 28, 1928 August 11, 2008 Peacefully, on Monday, August 11, 2008, with his family by his side, Gerry, aged 80, passed away at the Bethania Personal Care Home. Gerry will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife, Maria and her family and his nieces and nephew in Germany. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers and sisters in Germany. Gerry owned and operated his own business for many years. He was active in the community by participating in organizations such as The Lions Club and The German Club. As an avid outdoorsman, he truly enjoyed fishing, hunting and travelling out to the Lake of the Woods where he and Maria enjoyed their weekends together at their trailer. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Bethania Personal Care Home for their exceptional services given to Gerry during his time in their care. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, August 14, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street) at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor James Scholz officiating the service.
