GALE HARRISON HAMILTON Peacefully, after a brief struggle with cancer, Gale Hamilton passed away at his home, on August 10, 2008 at the age of 74. Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Ollie; his children, Terry (Les Wiens), Brad, Kim (Darrel Karlstrom), Lorie (Rory Ring); his beloved grandchildren, Jarrad, Dana, Devin, Drew, Megan, Jaclyn and Ryan; his son-in-law David Fallis; and his sister-in-law Noreen (Jeff Templeton), their children, Taunya, Mike and Scott and their families. His daughter, Lisa, predeceased him in 2004. A perfect day for Dad would have been one surrounded by family, a mess of his famous BBQ hamburgers on the grill, Frank and Tony crooning from the stereo and victories by BOTH the Bombers and the Vikes. Although family and his home were the most important things to Dad, he was also fortunate to have made many friends during his 25 years as a sales rep for Jantzen. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the Canadian Cancer Society Transportation Program and their dedicated volunteer drivers, to Debbie from CancerCare and to Chris and Monique from the CancerCare Palliative Care team for their compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, designated to the Transportation Program. As per Dad's wishes, a private family celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
