Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD EDWARD (DICK) KIRK July 12, 1929 - August 13, 2008 After a courageous battle with lung disease, Dad passed peacefully into the hands of his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and soul-mate Patricia (Wieb); sons, Dan (Lee, Jennifer (Andrew Feeney) and Jason), Bruce (Lara, Stephanie and Zachary); daughters, Brenda (Stuart Lees, Nicholas (Jessica) and Jordon), Laura (Ken Klassen, Amanda, Christopher and April); stepsons, Rudy (Keri), Randy, Richard Wieb and stepdaughter Juanita (Chuck Meltzer and Alex); as well as brothers, Bob (Jan) and Jim (Louise), numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and a large extended family. Dad goes to join his mother Violet, father Joe, first wife Joan (Falck), infant daughter Cheryl and sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Shirley. Dad accepted Jesus more than 25 years ago and has walked with his Saviour and The Word since that time. He was an active, respected and loved member of Bethesda Church. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dad's church family, Pastors Mark Wilcoxson and Bill Ehlers and friends for your visits, prayers and support over a very difficult time. As well, the family would like to extend our thanks to the ICU and IICU nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface and especially to the ICU staff at Concordia Hospital for your care and compassion during Dad's illness and more importantly for your support to our family during this time. In accordance to Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date. A service in celebration of Dad's life in Christ will take place at Bethesda Church, 1350 Grant Avenue at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dad's name to The Movement Centre of Manitoba Inc., 1646 Henderson Highway or the charity of your choice.
