Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOCTAVIO MEDEIROS It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father and brother on Monday, August 11, 2008 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Cherishing his memories are his wife Maria, sons Nelson (Amanda) and Michael, brothers Durval (Maria), Augustino and sister Liberta (Jose), mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and special girl Chloe. He was predeceased by his parents Manuel and Maria Ilda Alves. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores on November 20, 1954. He loved his work as a Superintendent at Borland Construction until his passing. Dad truly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and a special thanks to Dr. Walli and Joan and nurses Val, Kathy and Laura. Prayers will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave. with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H. officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Octavio's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or Canadian Diabetes Association. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
