Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMORLEY GLOBERMAN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Morley Globerman, on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Morley was born February 26, 1925 in Pinsk, Poland coming to Canada at the age of three. He was educated at Peretz School, Machray and St. John's High School and worked at Kay's Limited where he met and subsequently married his first wife, Bessie Sideman, to whom he was married for almost 57 years. He later joined the family upholstery business, Globerman Brothers Ltd., (later known as GIII Ltd.). This was followed by part-time work at Tip Top, Jack Fraser and Moore's Men's Clothing until his retirement. Morley enjoyed New York Yankees and Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball, NHL hockey and Blue Bombers football. Shortly after the passing of his wife Bessie in 2003, Morley married Pearl Rosenberg in June 2004, together finding happiness again enjoying travel, the symphony, and family and social gatherings while Morley's health prevailed, with Pearl caring for him during ill health until his hospitalization. Predeceased by his parents Dora and Israel and his first wife Bessie, Morley will be sadly missed by his wife Pearl, his siblings Abe (Una) and Faye Appelle (Harvey), his daughter Rochelle Litman (Harvey), son Sheldon (Adelle) and his grandchildren Naomi and Darryl Litman, Jamie and Jason Globerman, and Mark (Christine), Shawn (Tracey) and Neil (Liz) Fishman, as well as his four great-grand-children Jonah, Mya, Taylor and Memphis who had a very special place in his heart. He will also be fondly remembered by Pearl's children and grandchildren Brenda and Frank Dahle (Cara and Lainie), Michelle and Drew Moyer (Lee and Danika), Cindy and Rob Yusim (Marlie, Lauren and Adam), and Naomi and Bruce Palansky (Noah and Lexie), as well as by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 4, 2008 at Congregation Etz Chayim with burial at Rosh Pina Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Darryl Litman, Jamie Globerman, Sheldon Appelle, Shawn and Neil Fishman, and Frank Dahle. Honorary Pallbearers were Harvey Litman, Naomi Litman, Jason Globerman, Mark Fishman, Harvey Appelle, Drew Moyer, Rob Yusim, Bruce Palansky, Max Hochman and Harry Minuk. Special thanks to Morley's physicians Dr. J. Rabson, Dr. N. Hajidiacos, Dr. S. Ludwig, and Dr. S. Husarawycz and the nursing staff on 5B Units 2 and 6 at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to Congregation Etz Chayim, Jewish Foundation of Manitoba, the Heart Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated. Morley's passing has left a large void in our lives and he will be very much missed by his family and by all who knew him.
