ANNIE MUZYKA (nee PICHLYK) 1919 2008 Longtime resident of Vita, Annie Muzyka passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 14 at the age of 88. Annie is survived by her daughter Adele (Ernie) Genik and son John (Vicki) Muzyka; grandchildren, Arla (Kent), Earle (Kim), Jason (Kelsey), Lisa, Jana, Chris, Kerri; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Bryce, Treena, Zachary, Ty, Brady; sister Nellie Prociuk and many nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1996, her parents and brothers (Mike and Paul Pichlyk), sister (Lillian Smith) and two great-grandchildren in infancy. Active pallbearers are: Earle Genik, Jason Genik, Gary Pichlyk, Dr. Gary Austman, Dennis Prociuk, Ed Prociuk. Prayers will be sung at Vita Funeral Home on Sunday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vita with Rev. Father Gregory Zubacz and Rev. Deacon Twerdun officiating. Interment to follow at Ukrainian Catholic Orthodox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annie's name to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice.
