PAULINE BIG GEORGE On August 13, 2008, Pauline Big George of 54 years, passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg after a lengthy illness and a courageous battle with cancer. Wake and funeral services will take place at Big Grassy Community Hall on Friday, August 15 and 16, 2008 with Burial at Big Island Cemetery. She is survived by son and daughters, Tayton Bob, Sheila Bob with spouse Dave Carney, Sachena Bob, Salena Bob-Kelly with husband Patrick S. Kelly, Nicole Lagimodiere, Seyla Bob, and Shantaya Paul; grandchildren, Mitch Rundle, Arizona Bob, Robyn Bob, Shania Bob, Sacha Bob, Jayden Bob, Gabriel Bob-Kelly, Damien Bob-Kelly, TayJay Bob, Dominika Oshie-Bob; brothers and sisters, Roy Tom with wife Jane Tom, Colin Tom, Patrick Tom, Alison Tom, Verna Archie (Aquash), Ron Tom, John Tom, Nicole Gee, Naomie Braxton, Abigail with husband Brian Halverson; parent Bessie Tom; numerous nieces and nephews, Jesse Tom, Colin Tom Jr. and Travis Tom. She was predeceased by her stepfather Moses Tom and her biological father Leonard Green. Pauline earned two degrees - Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Political Science. She had a passion for politics and Pow-wows and was a liaison for the Native Brotherhood Organization. She was also an advocate for Cultural Awareness.
