Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT SYDNEY WINSER March 22 , 1916 August 11, 2008 Peacefully on August 11, 2008 at Lions Manor, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 92. Albert will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife Nancy; his children, Joyce (Larry) Dare, Wayne (Heather), Marilyn (Terry) Armstrong , Dianne (Ed) Boulay and Cindy Klassen (Fritz Prager). He will be missed by his nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sisters Rose Franklin and Ellen Harding. Predeceased by brother Arthur (Reginald), granddaughter Debra Dare and infant granddaughter. Albert served for five years with the Royal Canadian Air Force and took pride in his work on aircraft. After the war he did carpentry work with Gus Berntt and after Gus' death he worked in partnership with Gary Kuhn. In 1976 the family purchased the cabin at Lac Lu, Ontario and Albert took this small cabin and created what he called the Winser Castle . The family has many happy memories of dad and the cabin and he will always be remembered as we enjoy our castle . Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway Avenue. The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses and staff on the 2nd floor of Lions Manor for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Albert's memory to the Heart Stroke Foundation.
