Mom persevered and kept herself going through the seven years. She remained as active as she could be and spent as much time with family and friends as she was physically able to. We will miss her very much. She lived there throughout her childhood years attending high school in Maxville, ON. In September of 1940 she went in training for a nurse at Victoria Hospital, Renfrew, ON, graduating as a registered nurse in 1944. She then married Donald Robert Craig of Metcalfe. For 14 years she worked in her profession in Kemptville and Smith Falls, ON before moving to Toronto where she was an industrial nurse for CLM Industries, a subsidiary of McGraw-Edison. Helen and Donald had 30 years of summer enjoyment at their island in Lake of the Woods and in retirement 20 winters in Weslaco, Texas. The family would like to thank Dr. Mare and the staff at the Linden Ridge Medical Centre for the year by year care they provided and the staff at Victoria Hospital for their support in Helen's stay.
