M. RUTH JENNINGS On Wednesday, August 13, 2008 Mabel Ruth Jennings passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 89 years. Ruth was born on May 12, 1919 in Winnipeg and lived most of her life in the Elmwood and East Kildonan areas. She is survived by her sons, Bill (Betty), Lorne and Tom (Vicki); her grandchildren, Steven Jennings (Kathy), Cheryl Cronshaw (Steve), Kristie Jennings (Patrick) and Cameron Jennings (Kathleen); great-grandchildren, Josh and Gracie Cronshaw and Meredith Jennings; her brother Chester Cuthbert and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Doug in 1968, and siblings, Lorne, Merle, Mary, Ethel and their spouses. Ruth spent many hours knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, photography, watching movies and corresponding with many friends and family. She spent many hours listening to music and taping movies on her DVD player. She loved to tell stories about her life and the fun times with the DoFunnies . A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at St. Saviour's Anglican Church, 690 Munroe at Grey Street with Rev. Kenn Garrity officiating. Interments at Elmwood Cemetery. Many thanks to the staff in Recovery, SICU, and IICU at the Health Sciences Centre. Your care and concern for Mum is appreciated.
