Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVYTAUTAS (VICTOR) JANCIUKAS Passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on August 12, 2008. Born in Lithuania on June 30, 1916, Victor immigrated to Canada in 1948 with his beloved wife Bronè and made his home in Winnipeg. He was employed as a tailor at Eatons from 1950-1983. Victor is predeceased by his first wife Bronè in 1982 and his second wife Genevieve in 1999. He is also predeceased by four brothers and two sisters in Lithuania. Victor is survived by his last remaining brother, Alfonsas of Winnipeg; nieces, Birute Ona of Prince Albert and Aldona Mary of Winnipeg; numerous nieces and nephews in Lithuania. Victor was a member of St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church until its closure in 1999. He was also a member of the Canadian Lithuanian Club of Manitoba. We will remember him as a quiet, kind, generous, gentle man who will be sadly missed by family and friends. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff of 4 North at Victoria General Hospital. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 18 at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father of the Assumption Province officiating.
