Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM WYATT EARL (CHAMP) BROWN December 14, 1950 - August 9, 2008 Peacefully in Penticton with his partner, Marilyn Mottola at his side, William Champ Brown passed away after succumbing to cancer. He was predeceased by his father, William E.L. Brown; and his sister, Cara Mae Rosik. Surviving are his partner Marilyn Mottola of Penticton; his children, Leanne Porter (Garry) of Mississauga; Danica and Miles Brown of Sudbury; stepdaughter, Gabby Madigan of Nanaimo; grandchildren, Adrienne and Marlon Porter of Mississauga and foster son Troy Schattenkirk of Penticton, as well as his mother Estelle Brown and sisters, Leslie Simmons, Brenda Maclean (Jim), Lorna Johnson, Cassandra Williams, all of Winnipeg, Estelle Terry Benjamin of Brampton, Genevivie Jennie Clark of Red Deer, Candace Knoll (Jeffrey) of Coquitlam; 13 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends across Canada and the United States. The family wish to thank Drs., Paisley, Caskey and Novak; the nurses and staff of Moog and Friends Hospice House, Penticton; and the doctors and staff of the Kelowna Cancer Clinic for their care and support of William Champ Brown. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 41 Maple St., Winnipeg. A second celebration will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at 776 Adiron Ave., Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Moog and Friends Hospice House, 1701 Government St., Penticton, BC V2A 8J7 or the BCSPCA Penticton-Similkameen, 2200 Dartmouth Dr., Penticton, BC V2A 7W7 would be appreciated.
