JAKE HILDEBRAND It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Alan (Liz), Bob, Carol (Rick) and Lorraine (Murray); his grandchildren, Clinton, Cheryl, Charlene, Cameron, Denis, Dana, Morgan, Kara, Sean, Troy; great-grandchildren, Carly, Jacob, Jenna, Kennedy. Jake was born in Mexico in 1925 and came to Canada in his early teens, where he worked in farming, Jake's Transfer, Griffin Steel and finally CN from which he retired at the age of 65. Dad loved woodworking, playing guitar and boating, but most of all he loved his family. He was a self taught man, and he was our hero. Although large in stature, Dad was always a true gentleman in every sense of the word. We were always showered with unconditional love, and our weekly visits with Dad will be sorely missed. Thank you to the staff at Park Manor for your compassionate care over the last years. Cremation has taken place and a private service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice in Jake's memory. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
