GLENN R HOLMES TRIBUTE TO A FRIEND His wants were simple, his wishes few, He craved neither wealth nor fame. An honest man with a heart of gold, I'm proud to bear his name. He asked but little from those he knew, And lived full each passing day. He treated all with love and trust, In his kind and gentle way. He had his faults as all men do, This truth I can't deny. My worst regret, we parted ways, Without a last goodbye. When death called early to claim the life, Of the truest friend I had, I know God was there to welcome home, The man who was my Dad.
