Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDENNIS JOSEPH PETER BARRETT It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend Dennis Barrett of Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 61. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Rose Barrett. Dennis was born in Regina, Saskatchewan October 29, 1946. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and soul mate Patricia. His children Ronnie, Troy, Johnnie, Cheryl, their spouses and children from Alberta. Patricia's children, Jackie, Darren, Kevin, Kathy, their spouses and children from Winnipeg. His brothers and sisters, Darryl, Darlene, David, Rosemary, their spouses from Regina, numerous nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Dennis worked in the trucking industry most of his life and was presently employed at Deck X. He will surely be missed by his friends and co-workers there. Dennis loved camping and fishing and spent the last week of his life doing what he loved. With his beloved wife at his side Dennis passed on at Rushing River Park. Dennis always looked forward to this annual camping and fishing trip. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Bruce and Rheanan for their help at the campsite that night, the OPP, Keelan Hall, Kyle Peloso, Ambulance drivers Guy Robbins, Andrew Park, staff at Kenora Hospital for their valiant efforts to save him. Also a special thanks to Pastor Captain Tony of Kenora, for being there in our time of need. In accordance with Dennis's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dennis's life will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers donations in Dennis's memory may be made to Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
