JEAN AGNES GLENN With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mom, nanny on August 14, 2008 at the Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Graham in 1997, sister Margaret (1977) and brother Ed (1978). Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her sister Vera Thomas, daughters Pat (Doug), Marlene, sons Jim, Ron (Diane), 11 grandchildren (spouses) and numerous great- grandchildren, and nieces. Mom was born February 1, 1922 and lived all her life in Winnipeg. She met and wed dad in 1940 and together they raised four children. Mom and dad spent every summer at Grand Beach and everyone of us has some unique memories of times spent there, whether it was fishing stories, card games, it was just fun times. After retiring mom and dad enjoyed several trips to Hawaii. One of mom's greatest pleasures in the last few years was visits from family members, you could always count on her to have homemade cookies or pies. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Army Navy Unit No 1., 300-1395 Ellice Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
