Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADRIENNE EYJOLFSON (nee WEICKER) 1911 - 2008 Peacefully at the Foyer Valade on Saturday, August 16, 2008, Adrienne Eyjolfson passed away at the age of 96 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Jeannette Chivers and Albert Eyjolfson; three grandchildren, Linda Gregory (Robert), Louise Koch-Schulte (Rolf) and Lisa Chivers (Edwin Burr); and five great-grandchildren, Candice, Corey, Sherri, David and Michael. She also leaves to mourn one sister Jeannine Tinguely (Raymond); one brother Denis Weicker (Beatrice); and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by Dave Shand. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie in 1997; her parents, Jean-Baptiste Weicker and Augustine (née Debreuil); two brothers, Remi and Marcel; and by two sisters, Berthe and Claire. Adrienne was born in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB on November 6, 1911. She worked at the Weicker Café until she was married. Charlie came to Notre Dame to work in the creamery as a butter maker. They met when he took his meals at the Café where she worked. Once married they lived in several towns in Manitoba. They ended up and made their home in St. Vital in 1949. The family wish to thank so very much the staff on the third floor on the Foyer Valade. We couldn't ask for nicer or more caring people. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Her godson, Father Paul Tinguely of Ste Rose de Lac, MB will be officiating. If so desired donations may be made to the Foyer Valade, 450 River Road, Winnipeg, MB, R2M 5M4.
