Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MOIR February 9, 1918 - August 19, 2008 It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to our wonderful Mother at age 90. Lillian was predeceased by husband John, sister Mary (Atchison), daughter Carolyn Eastwick and parents Phyllis and Walter Atchison. Lillian will be deeply missed and remembered by her daughter Phyllis Black (Dan), son John and grandchildren, Kevin (Andrea), Pam Reid (Blair), Linda Wilson (Chris) and great- grandchildren, Zack, Jenna, Ethan, Taryn and Jessica; as well as nieces and nephews. Mom was raised in Winnipeg where she met and married her life partner John. The family moved to Ottawa where Dad was stationed with the Navy. They returned to Winnipeg after the war. Fondest memories include many summers at the family cottage. Their love of horticulture led to active involvement in such organizations as the Winnipeg Horticulture Society and their participation in the annual Red River Ex flower show. Over the past 70 years mom has been a loyal member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Her affiliation provided her with joy and many life long friends. Our thanks are extended to the doctors and nursing staff of the Victoria General for their kind and compassionate care. A special thanks to her niece Joan Bender for her loving support. A celebration of Lillian's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 22 at St. George's Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's memory to the charity of your choice.
