MARIA JOSE CABRAL September 29, 1924 - August 20, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce our mother's passing in her deep sleep with her family by her side at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her husband Jose Filipe Cabral; mother Maria Isabel and father Antonio Pavao, two sisters Maria and Conceicao; cousin Manuel Torres. Maria is survived by 10 children Jose Maria (Odilia), Fatima (Boanerges), Conceicao (Joao), Joao (Angela), Semiao (Auxiliadora), Graciano (Filomena), Duarte (Lurdes), Nelia (Silvino), Damiao, Graca (Carlos); 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and other family and friends in Ontario, US and Sao Miguel. Maria was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. Mom was very special to us, she was a good-hearted person, people never went away empty handed. Thank you for being there. Special thanks to Dr. Hartley, all the nurses and staff at the Calvary Personal Care Home for their excellent care and compassion they gave Mom over the past five years. Also many thanks to Sergia for being a good friend. Prayers will be said on Friday, August 22 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Very Rev. José Eduardo Medeiros, V. F. as Celebrant. Entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason, Michael, Kevin, Johnny, Steven and Erik.
