MAVIS ELIZABETH KENT It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom and Grandmother, Mavis on August 18, 2008. She was predeceased by her loving husband Mel in 1993 and her eldest daughter Barbara in 2006. She leaves behind her son Bryan (Shelley; Rebecca), daughter Darlene (Doug; Wesley, Mitchell) and granddaughter Samantha and her two sons AJ and Christopher, and grandson Ashley. Mom was born August 4, 1926 and grew up in East Kildonan. She married Mel in 1943 and together they raised their family. Mom enjoyed traveling across Canada and the USA as well as camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the many years she and Dad spent in Eastern Star. She loved to sew, knit and embroider. Mom loved to bake and you could always expect a phone call telling you to come over and pick up your treat. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to: the Arthritis Society, the Lung Association, the Heart Stroke Foundation, or the Humane Society. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
