LILY VIOLET ANNA BELLE RIEHL Peacefully on August 17, 2008, at Poseidon Care Centre, Lily passed away at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her mother Tena, father Philip, sisters Edna McLeod and Katharine Riehl, brother-in-law Earl McLeod and niece Christine McLeod. Lily was born in Winnipeg and lived in the family home on Ash Street for over 75 years. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1939 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and thereafter worked for Revenue Canada for over 33 years, retiring in 1975. She was a lifelong member of St. Andrew's River Heights United Church. Private interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery on Monday, August 25th. A memorial service will be held for Lily on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Poseidon Care Centre, 70 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg, MB.
