Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAURELE (BUD) BLANCHETTE August 9, 1920 - August 22, 2008 Peacefully in his sleep, Aurèle passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Riverview Health Centre. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Précieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny Street, with viewing one half hour prior to mass. Bud was the best godfather! When I was little, he built me a doll's crib that was the envy of all my friends. I remember visiting him once and being in awe of the reel-to-reel recording device set up to dazzle the uninitiated. He was always so smart! Years ago, I embarrassed him when I boarded his Wolsely bus and gave him a big kiss and a hug! He was so wonderful, we'll all miss his affection, humour, sensitivity, knowledge and openness. I can't ever recall Uncle Bud without a smile on his lips and a hearty laugh! One of my fondest memories was when he took me on his bus route and let me help him count the fares. I felt so "big" when he introduced me to his co-workers. I know how much he loved his family and how terribly he will be missed. We are all better people because we had Bud in our lives.
