Predeceased by wife Stevie, son Derek and daughter Denise, brothers Wilfred - Lowestoft Eng., Reg, Winnipeg, sister Mary and husband Stan Taylor (Richmond, BC). Survived by brother Doug and Mary Holden, two daughters Beverley and Will Eert and daughter Dr. Jennifer Nicholson and sons Christopher and Sam (Brockville, Ont.), Judy and Gary Edwards and son Patrick and Meagan, also Bob and Marlene Taylor and family (Richmond, BC). Wally worked for C.N.R. Telegraphs, Winnipeg. Transferred to Vancouver and resided on Quadra Island.

I was blessed to have known Wally and have him as my Father-in-Law. I loved sitting in his home on Quadra and listening to the many stories he had. I loved how he had such a passion for books. It was an honour to have him stand up at my wedding to his son Derek. He understood why I married his son and he knew I loved Derek. Although Derek and I went our separate ways, after Derek went to Heaven Wally hired a Private Investigator to find me. Not sure why Wally did this but he did say it wasn't fair what happened between his son and I. When I found out Wally had passed I was devastated how such a beautiful caring man could move on.
