LOUIS BERK After a courageous battle with lung disease, Dad passed peacefully into the hands of his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the age of 85 years. He is predeceased by his brother Robert (Bobby) Berk, sister Martha Klimack and son-in-law Matthew Matskiw. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66 years Mildred (nee Dunn), four children Shirley Matskiw, Roberta (Don) Baldwin, Douglas (Phyllis) Berk and Sandra Asham. His 10 grandchildren Kim (Terry), Keris, Dwayne, Tracy (Jan), Trisha (Mike), Daniel, Michael, Amanda (Randy), Nathan, Katlyn (Will), 14 great-grandchildren Ryan, Adam, Dreya Bailes, Derrick, Nicholas, Joshua, Melissa Bassa, Ryan Eck, Alanna, Aden Asham, Rory, Griffin, Kailyn, Matthew Asham-Moroz. A celebration of Louis' life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment has taken place in the family niche at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Bailes, Jan Bassa, Dwayne Matskiw, Daniel and Michael Berk, Nathan Asham. Our special thanks to the staff of Poseidon Care Centre for their care and compassion for dad in the years that he resided there.
